Calais has two main train stations: Calais-Ville, his station is located in the centre of Calais and is the mainline train service serving Calais for regional services. Calais-Frethun, this station is located south west of the town near the channel tunnel entrance and is a TVG station. This is the first international railway station in France for the Eurostar route before travelling to Lille; passengers can depart here to use the Paris services, the 2 stations are linked by the free Navette TER. Passengers that travel from the UK to Calais will go through passport checks in the UK before boarding the train, or if you are travelling from Calais to the UK, passengers will have an exit check as well as a passport check before boarding the train.
